Ah, first, I don't know where to put HomeStuck stuff. Too obscure for Facebook! So I guess it goes in my LJ, even though AFAIK only two of you are followers of HomeStuck.
One of the repeating words in HomeStuck is "It Keeps Happening", originally used in "Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff", and then used over and over in different situations.
One of the major differences I have with a lot of people of various political persuasions is their need to make their situation unique and apocalyptic... every one of them believes that right now we are at some type of critical turning point in history.
HomeStuck is a very apocalyptic work. "Apocalypse" originally means "Revelation" or "Uncovering". Its usage to mean "Disaster" is a type of semantic drift. And in HomeStuck (from what I have seen so far!), the apocalypse is not a singular event. It Keeps Happening. The uncovering reveals another layer to be uncovered. There is no point where the narrative is uncovered. Even seemingly gigantic events are just the beginning of new events.
Which in some ways, is a very post-Boomer, millenial way to look at things. Just like with Dave Strider's multiple levels of irony, there is no point (so far) where we get to say "Oh, it all makes sense!"
...
I wonder if anyone is going to actually reply to this?
