(When I was 12, the humor was scatological and not sexual. I didn’t know that Ω was a Greek letter or anything about what it meant. It was just a character on the IBM PC extended ASCII table.)

That is done using gimp. Some stuff in there couldn't quite be done with MS-Paint, I think.
